The Goals

The Methods

Our head teachers at ttcInnovations have identified these eight proven strategies for creating the ideal learning environment for the new workforce. These are the same key strategies that we use to evaluate our clients’ current learning programs and realign their learning strategy to the evolving needs of Millennials in the workplace.

Throughout the challenge, our students had access to:

  • Personalized Learning: Just like selecting a college course load, our Innovators had the opportunity to personally choose which homework assignments they wanted to complete each week.
  • Microlearning: One of our Innovators’ class prerequisites was to watch a bite-size, 6-minute video on how to update their availability. From there, our students were instructed to provide their availability details for the remainder of the year on our intranet. This helps our resource team know which of our qualified learning professionals are free to accept new projects and staff aug roles — win, win!
  • Feedback: Each week, we offered our students two forms of feedback:
    • Weekly progress reports (write-ups) on their completed homework assignments:
    • Weekly rankings to see where they lined up on our Teacher’s Pets leaderboard

  • Gamification: The object of the game was to earn stars by completing “homework assignments.” Whoever had the most stars at the end of the challenge won prizes. To encourage and engage our learners along the way, we worked in leaderboards, badges, and prizes to visualize their progress.
  • Training with a Purpose: Did you watch the video above? If so, you heard all about our intention behind this challenge and how we hoped to provide a purpose to this core-value-based initiative.
  • Challenges: A little healthy competition is good for everyone! With an added incentive to strive for one of our top three prizes, our Innovators couldn’t wait to rise up to the challenge!
  • $200 Toward Wishlist: Wishlist offers experience gifts that come in a variety of unique activities, as well as gift cards. You’ll be able to choose your favorite option!
  • 2 Books from ATD's Library: What a great way to keep the fun going after the challenge! These will also be student's choice!
  • Student Credit: Of course, we'll be celebrating your success with the entire team! You'll get a special shout out from our Senior Leadership on our virtual classroom, our Intranet, and more!
  • Bragging Rights: Being a Teacher's Pet comes with a year's worth of bragging rights until the next challenge! You earned it, you deserve to flaunt it!
