19 Celebrations of 2019

Can you believe the countdown to 2020 has begun? This past year has been full of growth and new adventures for ttcInnovations. Flash back to the end of 2018, we launched our staff augmentation division, Innovators on Demand®, and 2019 was our first year meeting our clients’ needs with this new à la carte service. Between that and our signature project-based model, business is booming with many new clients! We couldn’t be more grateful for our incredible Innovators who have worked hard this year to further cultivate the partnerships we hold with each of them. From receiving awards and attending industry events to giving back and getting a whole new look, this year has been one for the books. For a fun lookback, here are 19 celebrations from 2019:

1. 2019 Best Places to Work for the second year in a row!

We started off with a bang by receiving the 2019 Best Places to Work award for the second year in a row by the Business Intelligence Group! The award seeks to recognize companies that are actively working to improve their performance by challenging employees and providing a fun and engaging work environment. Nominated by our very own Innovators, we consider it an honor and a privilege to receive this award knowing that we are meeting those qualifications for our employees.

2. On-demand webinars for the win!

One of our favorite ways to connect with new folks is through our webinars! This past year, we held a few different sessions that led to amazing conversations and connections. We chatted about learning trends, revitalizing old content, and microlearning, and all are available for you to replay for FREE. Snag all of our on-demand webinars here!

 

3. Did we meet you at an in-person industry event?

 If we enjoy connecting with new friends and clients virtually, you can bet that we love to shake your hand in person! This year, our team was at a number of industry events — including SHRM, the CLO Exchange, and the ATD International Conference & Exposition. Our CEO & Founder, Debbie Wooldridge, even had the chance to speak on “Future-Skilling Your Workforce” at two of the CLO events!

4. New year, new clients!

This year has brought many growth opportunities — one being new clientele! Forming relationships with each of our new clients’ learning and development teams has been a joy and we can’t wait to see what 2020 brings. Not to mention, we are so grateful for all our continued partnerships with valued clients year after year and look forward to creating great training together for many more!

5. New clients, new Innovators!

 With the increase of business came the need to broaden our talent pool! In the last year, we’ve onboarded 50 new Innovators (and counting!), bringing the total of innovative training talent to 125+. The expansion of our clientele has also offered us the opportunity to deepen our internal relationships — we couldn’t be more excited to have so many new Innovators to add to our family!

6. Drumroll please for the ttcAcademy and ttcLoop!

Not only has HR been onboarding right and left, but they also have been busy bees setting up two online resource sites for our remote team — the ttcAcademy and ttcLoop. These two sites are now our hubs for procedures, performance support, tools and templates, celebrations, and more! The ttcAcademy houses all things learning and resource related, providing our team with the tools needed to keep business moving along, while the ttcLoop contains all things people-related, such as birthdays, monthly recognition, and other fun announcements.

7. HR gained one more team member!

It seems like we have a domino effect going on here! Having so many new Innovators and resources has increased the workload of our HR department, so we welcomed a new member to our leadership team — Emily Wooldridge, our HR Engagement Coordinator! She has been an incredible asset to our team and a key player in the growth within HR this year as she’s helped onboard and mentor new Innovators, create learning materials, aid in change management initiatives and more. It has been all hands on deck and it’s safe to say we are grateful for her contributions to the team!

8. We also revamped our mentor program!

Our robust mentor program is part of our onboarding process for new Innovators. The revamp included additional tools and onboarding videos, an interactive progress tracker, and a dedicated HR mentor as an extra layer of process support. Innovators are also given the opportunity to have a project mentor aligned so they can transition into our culture and project environment as seamlessly as possible. Collectively, this revamp ensures that every new Innovator is project-ready and aligned with the ttc mission and values!

9. Certified Great Place to Work 2019!

Nominated by our employees, we have been honored and privileged to become a Certified Great Place to Work! This certification reflects our ongoing efforts to create a positive workplace and our commitment to continue identifying gaps and improving our culture. Even though we were nominated by our team, we know this accolade is a result of our employees embracing our core values — innovation, quality, integrity and responsiveness — and working hard to meet our clients’ needs.

10. #ttcCares

As a virtual team, there are limited opportunities for our Innovators to meet face to face. Our leadership team was able to meet up twice this year, however, and each occasion brought an opportunity to join together and give back! During the first meetup, we assembled care packages full of snacks and personal care products for our troops through AnySoldier, and the second time, we partnered with WeHero to put together medical bags for those affected by Hurricane Dorian. These activities gave us a chance to bond as a team, exercise our integrity value, and do good in a small way!

11. Speaking of giving back, there was also #GivingTuesday!

After the rush of Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday brings #GivingTuesday! This year, our CEO generously offered to match our team’s donations to the organizations of their choice, giving a total of $733.50 to charities on December third! We are proud of the generosity of our team and grateful to further the good work of charities and organizations that give support and attention to many causes!

12. The giving continues — Volunteer Day!

To further encourage our integrity value, we implemented a new employee benefit of one day off per year to spend volunteering for an organization of choice. Giving back is a large part of our heartbeat as a company, and we were excited to see our leadership team take advantage of this benefit. From women’s entrepreneurship conferences to animal shelters, we saw our team step away for a day to volunteer for the causes they are most passionate about.

13. We were named one of the top 100 Fastest Growing Companies in San Diego!

Out of the many awards that we received this past year, this one got us really excited. We were named one of the top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies in San Diego by the San Diego Business Journal!

14. Our CEO took home awards too!  

Our leading lady, Debbie Wooldridge, was also recognized with a special award this year! She received the SBA District Director’s Award for Growth in the Workforce Training Sector during the 56th anniversary of National Small Business Week in May. Go Debbie!

15.  New brand — same spirit and intention!

Our brand has evolved over the years, and with the recent launch of Innovators on Demand® in October 2018, we knew a rebrand for ttc wasn’t far behind. We got right to work realigning our visual brand identity with the intent of our values and mission. Behind the scenes, our team was busy preparing, meeting, brainstorming, organizing, designing, updating (and sipping lots of coffee) for our rebrand launch on November 19th! While our look has shifted on the outside, our passion has remained the same — to serve our clients with the highest levels of innovation, quality, integrity, and responsiveness. 16. Innovators on Demand® celebrates one year!

We can’t believe our staff augmentation division is already one year old as of October 2019! Prior to the launch of Innovators on Demand®, we sensed a growing need in the industry for specialized and innovation-ready contingent workers for learning and development teams. That need was met with Innovators on Demand®! 17. Launched the Year of Innovation!

 As it’s one of our core values, we wanted to put an emphasis on innovation internally with our team. We utilized a platform called IdeaScale where Innovators could post creative ideas that we could look to implement. Many ideas were submitted, Innovators voted, and while all of the ideas were amazing drivers for innovation, one in particular stole our attention — the “Who’s Coming to Coffee?” idea submitted by our very own CHRO, Dana Janssen. We’re already hard at work assembling these focus groups to offer connection points for Innovators with similar interests. These groups will be launching in 2020 and we can’t wait to see how it deepens connections within our team.

18. Meet our new Business Developer Consultant, Anne!

The most recent recruit on our leadership team is Anne Browne! With all the growth that 2019 had in store for us, we needed someone to be the designated point of contact to handle all potential clients. Anne joined the team as our Business Developer Consultant to focus in on those brand new relationships and partnerships with other prospects. Woot woot! With this addition, we really feel like we have the dream team!

19. Case studies galore!

From revamping an eLearning solution in just two weeks (and three languages) for one of the world’s largest online retailers to conquering compliance training that sparked a 24% lift in participant completion with a national financial services provider, our team has done some amazing work that YOU can explore in our case studies! Kudos to each of our Innovators on a job well done on each of these projects!


Wow, we can’t believe all of this happened in just one year! After a stellar year like 2019, we can only imagine what 2020 will bring. This we know — we will continue providing top-quality work to each of our clients into the new year and beyond! Thank you for celebrating with us.
